Dowdales School Sports

Dowdales School has an outstanding record in school sport, competing regularly in local and national competitions in football, hockey, rugby, basketball, tennis, cricket, athletics and cross-country.

It is a prestigious honour for any pupil to be selected for our School teams and events and we pride ourselves on the standards we set whether we win, lose or draw.

Led by a dedicated team of staff, school fixtures practices are a regular occurrence, with practices avaialable to all.  However, it is during extra curricular matches that we strive for excellence resulting in many honours being achieved by teams representing the school.  In recent years the school is proud to have attained many trophies with successes being achieved in many different areas including football, rugby, basketball, athletics, table tennis and netball at both local and national level.

We are immensely proud of the achievements our pupils make individually and whilst the numbers are too vast to name them all, we have seen remarkable  achievement and honours bestowed upon our pupils at all levels, from town and County to professional club and Country.

Above all else, the pupils who represent Dowdales school teams are proud to do so and that makes us immensely proud of them.
