Situated in Ashburner House behind the main school Office the Learning Zone houses the photocopying machines, Library and a full suite of computers in IT1.

Opening Hours:

Photocopying can be left in the tray at any time but Mrs Turner is available from 8.00am until 3.30 each day. Librarians are available to process loans from 8.30 to 4.30.

Learning Zone Monitors are also available to help issue books.

IT1 can be booked for classes needing internet access. We are open every break and lunchtime and a homework club meets from 3.30-4.30 each day.

What has been happening this term?

The pupil bulletin has been produced each week by a team of editors and writers. We have had contributions from pupils in all years.

All year 7 & 8 English classes have borrowed books during English classes.

Year 11 students have conducted individual research on Medical Research

Year 9 students have investigated diseases in Science lessons.

History classes have been researching slavery in America.

Staff training sessions on editing digital video tapes.

Recording sessions led by Pete Rogers.

You can e mail photocopying direct to Mrs. Turner.

We can record your TV programmes onto DVD or VHS tapes.

A digital video camera can be borrowed from resources.

You are allowed to borrow up to three books at any time.

The Debating Society which met originally in IT1 now meets in room1 every Thursday lunchtime.

If you need a computer for homework or classwork we can usually make one available for you. Preference will always be given to pupils researching or completing work at break and lunchtimes.
