Mike Ridyard is the Connexions Personal Adviser working for
Dowdales School.
Connexions is a youth support service for
young people from 13 to 19. It provides advice and guidance as
young people prepare for a successful transition from education
to adult life, it also works closely with parents and links to
other agencies that support young people.
As well as information on career, training,
educational and employment options, Connexions can help with
identifying and overcoming barriers in the way of young people’s
transitions including health, drug and alcohol, housing and
other personal issues.
