Our mission is to build an iconic arts venue, with creativity at its core.
It will foster talen, build confidence and create opportunity.

Our vision is to create a space to inspire our young people, strengthen our community and develop international links.

We will build and support a 'multi-functional' modern centre of excellence which will enhance and secure the creative and performing arts facilities at Dowdales School and benefit the whole community, forging links with other schools and colleges both here and internationally.

Once built and operational this multi-cultural facility will contribute to the regeneration of Furness and Cumbria and become an internationally recognised meeting place for the community of all ages.  It will have a multi-functional purpose, providing performance spaces, exhibition galleries, artists' accommodation and conference facilities with a sustainable future.

Dowdales has been a Specialist School for the Performing Arts since 2001.  We are now planning to create a multi-million pound Innovation & Skills Centre which will include a 350 seat performance space, practice and recording studios, further Dance and Drama studios, learningareas and units for professional artists.

We are actively fundraising to take the project forward.  We have considerable support from local business and community leaders and we are looking for further sponsorship and support over the coming months.
