The Design Technology Department

Design Technology is an exciting subject in which you will get to explore a number of material areas whilst designing and making your own products. As part of this we use a mixture of hand skills alongside both modern methods and materials.

Design Technology is made up of five material areas, each of which is taught by a team of well qualified specialist staff. Our department is housed close to Ashburner and comprises of two well equipped Resistant Material and Engineering workshops, one computer suite, one Textiles and Graphics room, two Food Technology rooms and an electronics suite.
