Languages Curriculum Page

The Languages Department at Dowdales school is commited to providing a curriculum that both motivates and challenges pupils.

Key Stage 3

Pupils follow the Métro course in French and the Logo course in German.  Topics include Personal Introduction, Family, School, Holidays, Towns and Local Environment and foundations in the grammar of the language.

Key Stage 4

Pupils follow the AQA GCSE courses, developing their language skills in the areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing. A range of text and work books are used to compliment and support classroom teaching.

Pupils are also supported by two native language assistants.
