We make English fun, appropriate and key to pupils’ learning in every area! It is our strong belief that literacy is key to learning and key to life! The English department is housed in a purpose built suite of rooms. Three of the six rooms have data projectors. We regularly run trips to theatre productions especially of the plays we studied. In 2006 to made a visit to Stratford and the RSC with year 9, and took year 11 to see 'Blood Brothers'. This year we have seen Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' and we are again going to watch 'Blood Brothers' with the current year 11.
